BELIEFS

WE EXIST FOR THE SERIOUS, THE CURIOUS, AND THE SKEPTIC

We believe all people are created in the image of God and reflect Him in unique ways. We believe all people are broken, separated from God and without hope a part from Him. We believe all people are on a spiritual journey with highs and lows. We believe the church exists to equip God's people to know themselves, know and experience Him, and love their neighbor.

We are called Water Stone Church because we believe Jesus is our source of Living Water, the only One who offers true life and true satisfaction. We also believe Jesus is our cornerstone, the only sure foundation upon which we can build our lives.

A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS IS THE HEART OF WATER STONE CHURCH
GREAT COMMISSION

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

GREAT COMMANDMENT

“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Mark 12:30-31

GOLDEN RULE

"So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets."

Matthew 7:12

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Water Stone Church is a Christian church in the tradition of the Protestant Reformation. We affirm the Scriptures as the infallible Word of God, serving as our ultimate authority in matters of faith and practice. Additionally, we embrace the Apostles’ Creed and Nicene Creed as essential affirmations encapsulating the core beliefs of the universal Christian body throughout history.

We are a member of a denomination:
the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC).

You can read more about the beliefs of the EPC here.
